When Do I Begin my Weight Loss Plan

When Do I Begin my Weight Loss Plan

"When do I begin my weight loss plan," is a common question I get all the time? I answer with a simple, "NOW!" There is nothing gained waiting for tomorrow, or next week. Tomorrow is elusive, it never comes. Yesterday is history that cannot be redeemed. What you have is the moment; I think of each moment as a time for action. To begin a plan is to take action on a plan. And NOW is the best time to do it.

My Friend the Procrastinator
I have a friend who had to buy a new oven when the one in her condo broke down. It was old, not worth the repair bill. So she began to look at new ovens. She investigated gas ovens, electric ovens, and convection ovens. She studied features, price, color availability, and extra features. She called me for advice once a week for seven weeks before she actually bought a new oven. The money she spent on dining out could have contributed to a top of the line oven; she settled for one she thought was affordable.
My friend is a clear example of one who procrastinates. She puts off making decisions until everything is clear in her mind. She weighs alternatives, goes back and forth, and goes back to the store to look one more time. Sales people don't want to see her coming. They tend to hand her off to the newest sales person rather than waste their time on such a person. She is the perfect example of what not to do.

Making Decisions and Taking Action
I am not suggesting that research is not a good thing. But, when it goes to such an extreme, it is an excuse not to take action. If you can't decide on a diet and exercise plan to follow, you are much like my friend who couldn't decide which oven to buy. There is no need for that kind of behavior. It is far better to make a decision and act on it than to take forever to decide.
There is this story about three frogs sitting on a log in the pond. One of the frogs decided to jump in the water. How many frogs are left on the log? The answer is three. The frog in question only decided to jump in the water. No one said anything about acting on that decision.

It is much like deciding to lose weight. Deciding to change your habits to meet a goal. Deciding on an exercise and fitness plan. Deciding is just a first step. It is hardly the action needed to make it work. The long and short of it is that action, any positive action undertaken NOW is better than juggling decision tracks in your head for weeks.

So, go ahead and make your plans. But be prepared to start your flat belly diet today.

The modern wedding themes for summer are a blend of minimalism and simplicity. They are a balance of beauty and elegance that aims to create a totally new look. The birds wedding theme usually involves parrot, peacock or falcon designs. Various banquet halls in northwest Delhi like royal pepper banquets contemplate such ideas. This is a theme very common is western countries but yet to evolve in India.

Royal
Though royal may sound something very close to vintage but the look and feel of this theme is entirely different. Regal is something you cannot go wrong with, choose colours like purple or dark plum to bring out the mood.

Colors
This is something that might look easy but is very difficult; incorporate specific colors in your wedding dcor. Color coordinates everything and just sees the magic unfold, everything will set into place better, it will look like way more effort than you have put into it.

The 13th Apostle

The 13th Apostle

The Twelve: That is the designation commonly given to the first followers of the historic Jesus. The original 12 followers, or Disciples, are listed by name in the New Testament account written by the Evangelist Matthew. Following the death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus, they would be known as Apostles, Greek for witnesses. Among the apostles were fishermen, a farmer, a tax collector, and a revolutionaryall somewhat ordinary men.

One of these disciples, Judas Iscariot, betrayed Jesus the Christ, and handed him over to be crucified. Devastated by his conscience, Judas subsequently took his own life.

The Biblical Book, Acts of the Apostles, states that in the aftermath of the crucifixion, lots were cast by the disciples to decide who would replace Judas. Two candidates emerged: Joseph Barsabbas and Matthias. Matthias won the coin flip. He joined the others in continuing the mission given them by Christ: to proclaim the Good News of salvation for all men.

But does the story of the 13th Apostle end there? Hardly!

With the popularity of current fictionalized works of literature and films, controversy and questions still arise. Quite a few individuals emerge as the possible 13th Apostle. It seems Matthias claim to this title is challenged by both Biblical and fictional characters.

There are certainly references to a mysterious 13th Apostle in the accounts of the Gnostic Gospels or the forbidden gospels. These writings are accepted by a few, but challenged by many. Others cite another controversial source: The Gospel of Judas, a text from the second century which was found in Egypt in the 1970s.

Among the fictional characters is a youthful Gamaliel. He sees his role as the one who will warn Jesus of the plots against him. Another fictional work depicts the hidden life of a child born on the same day as Jesus: Marcus Titus is considered the 13th Disciple because, like Jesus, he survived the purge of young males during the reign of Herod.

Moving onto the historical figures, we have the title of designated to (Saint) Paul, or Saul of Tarsus. Paul, in fact, never met Jesus. Some believe there is proof for Pauls claim by what is written in the Biblical Acts of the Apostles (New Testament).

Was King Constantine of Constantinople the 13th Apostle of Christ? Some believe so. It is said that Constantine himself laid claim to this title.

Some have considered Mary Magdalene as the 13th follower. She was the repentant sinner who washed the feet of Jesus with her tears and dried them with her hair.

A more likely choice of a female disciple of Jesus following his death would be Mary, his mother. In Catholic tradition, the mother of Jesus is mentioned as being present in the upper room when the Spirit of the living God came down upon the Apostles. (Apostles and Disciples by this time have become interchangeable words.) In the Glorious Mystery meditations upon the Rosary prayer, Catholics accept that the Holy Spirit of God descended upon Mary and the other Apostles. Was she the 13th Apostle? Some would place credence in the number 13 as perhaps a clue as to why Mary, the Mother of Jesus, chose the 13th day of the month to appear to the children at Fatima. Here she warned the children of the tragedies which would befall mankind. connection may be reflected in the title of a currently popular religious film, The Thirteenth Day.

Surely this cast of charactersboth authentically historical and Biblical ones and the purely fictional oneswill settle the question as to who was the 13th Apostle of Jesus.

Again, hardly!

Scary Halloween Games for Kids

Scary Halloween Games for Kids

A Halloween party with scary Halloween games for kids will often be the highlight of the season for many kids. Halloween is a favorite time of the year for kids and as adults we might assume that it is the candy that makes it so popular. But for many children there is another favorite aspect the ghoulish displays, conversations and decorations. At other times of the year this same things might be deemed to be quite inappropriate but at Halloween horror and ghoulish stuff abounds.
There are a few different games that are sure to give them a chill up the spine without actually leaving them too scared to turn off the light for the next few months. The object of scary Halloween games for kids is not to leave them petrified to but to give them a shiver or two.

The Brain Game is always popular with kids at Halloween. Just make a large bowl of jello and add plastic bugs, candy worms and other trinkets. The jello can be colored to make it dark so that the kids cant see whats in it. Next let the kids feel their way around the brains to see what they can find. They can keep any trinkets they find and be given fresh candy to replace any candy that they find. This game can also be repeated with a bowl of spaghetti and renamed the Gory Guts Game.

Another scary Halloween game for kids is How Does It Feel Like? For this game you will need to provide different objects that the children can use to touch each other. Things that are cold, moist, slimy or sticky will work well. You might include different types of foods and sauces, feathers, spoons, combs, paintbrushes etc.

One child sits in the center of the circle blindfolded. It is best if their arms and legs are bare if possible. The others take turns to gently touch the child in the center with the objects and tell them what ghoulish thing it is, for example a grape cut in half could be gently touched to the skin while the child is told, A mummy is kissing you. The child has to try to guess what is touching their skin. Give each child 4 or 5 turns at being touched and see how many things they can guess.

Off course youll need to make the rules clear before starting. Dont touch anyone near the eyes is a good starter. Youll also need a towel for children to wipe themselves after their turn. This is one that will make their skin crawl as they are told that spiders, vampires and ghouls are touching them.

Of course one of the favorites for Halloween is the scary story. It is easy to turn a scary story into a scary Halloween game for kids. Have the children sit blindfolded as the story is told and a few adult helpers can add sound effects like tinkling bells, moaning or howling. The helpers can also a do some crashing and banging and even included a few physical effects like rubbing feathers over the arm to be spiders.

This Halloween include a few scary Halloween games for kids at your party or in your classroom. The kids will delight in the spooky, gooey, ghoulish fun and beg you for more and more.

Recurring Dreams What Are They Trying To Tell You

Recurring Dreams What Are They Trying To Tell You

If you are nowor have everhad a series of dreams that are the same dream repeating itself, or the same dream with slight variations over time: Pay Attention! This type of dreamthe recurring dreamis repeating itself and being recalled for a reason. Most often, a very important reason!

An excellent example of a recurring dream from film-makers is the movie"Groundhog Days." In the film, the main male characterplayed hilariously by Bill Murraycontinues to experience the same, exact events every day for several consecutive days... until he gets the message: "Be Kind and Considerate To Others." His life changes dramatically when he puts this information into practice.

Lets agree to call the source from which our dreams emerge the 'Dream-Maker Within.' When our dream-maker continues to bring the same scenes, story, dream to us, many times, over time... the obvious suggestion is that we didnt understand it or DO anything about it the last time. Our dream-maker is patient. So...., here it is, again!

When the dream maker is so persistent, insistent, you can rest assured that the message being repeatedly imparted is of great significance to you. We simply dont get the message.... dont understand on the conscious level what is being conveyed. Here again is where having a dreamsharing partner or belonging to a dream group is of great help.

Often, with recurring dreams, the dreamer will notice slight variations on the theme, over time. This is occurring becausewhether we consciously understand the purpose of the recurring dream or notwe are getting it on an intuitive level and we are responding, taking action, making changes in our daily lives in some way, as a result. Dreams do work in this way; they do us good service whether we remember them or not, or whether we understand them or not. Much is assimilated on the intuitive level.

For any and all of our dreams, however, it is worth repeating that developing dreamsharing relationships is of great valueespecially with the dreams that demand out attention like recurring dreams and nightmares. The sooner we gain understanding and insight, the sooner we can take action in our daily lives to respond and/or remedy the situation being addressed.

Shirley MacLaine, in one of her current books, recounts a story of a recurring dream in which she is always being chased by a ferocious bear and always felt she was being outrun, couldnt run fast enough. She always awakened terrified just before the bear was going to catch up with her. At one point she learned about the techniquetaught to us originally by the Senoi people of Malaysiaof learning to become aware that she was dreaming (become lucid) and stop running but rather, STOP!, turn around and confront whatever it is that is pursuing and ask it what it wants.

Ms. MacLaine achieved this the next time she had her recurring Bear-Chase dream. She stopped, turned around, put her hands on her hips and said: "Allright! Thats it! Ive been chased around enough by you! Just what is it that you want?" At that point, the "ferocious" bear turned into a Sweet and Shy looking Yogi Bear type character, and with knees together and index finger in its mouth, said: "I dont know! Its your dream!"

The bear, in its ferocious form, never returned in her dreams after that confrontation.

Often, even though we are adults, we can remember a recurring dream series that we had as children. Even though the dreams occurred many years ago, this dream-theme remains very important. Carl G. Jung, well known for his vast contribution to our knowledge and understanding of dreams, believed that recurring dreams in childhood are often previewing our destiny. If you do have memories of this nature, it would definitely be worth the effort to locate a knowledgeable person with whom to discuss this.

What is most important, here, is to understand what is being communicated by the dream-maker within. Often, we are not well enough informed or educated in unraveling the mysterious, symbolic ways in which our dreams are presented: to get it on our own. In fact, no matter how much we know, intellectually, we can always come to a quicker understanding of our dreams when we share them with someoneor a groupthat is equipped to help. Today, there are a growing number of individuals who are well educated and experienced in assisting dreamers to come to a better understanding of the meaning of their dreams. Fortunately for us at this time, there is a growing body of literature and information available.... many exceptional books to help us become better acquainted with dreams language. Dream Network exists to serve this purpose; also, any good reference librarian or bookstore proprietor can refer you to the literature they have available. Ask around youll find the information you need!

Male Depression One Man's Story

Male Depression One Man's Story

Depression struck me with tragic suddenness. Move your stuff! demanded my wife. She pointed at the journals, papers, and books piled high beside the chair where I worked while we watched TV together. Angry and deeply hurt by her rejection of my feeble attempt at togetherness, I gathered up my things and slunk away to my basement office. Starting that daymy 52nd birthdayI sank rapidly into deep feelings of anguish and loss. Five days later, preyed upon by unfamiliar and frightening images of harming myself, I checked into a mental hospital. Suddenly I entered a new world of meds, therapy, strange feelings about myself and a fear of the abnormal people around me who seemed clearly different from the normal person I believed I really was.

Depression is a serious illness that goes far beyond the normal and temporary ups and downs of daily life. Depression involves an abnormally deep and prolonged lack of interest in things that are normally pleasurable, along with physical changes such as disrupted sleep patterns. It can vary considerably in appearance from one person to another, but three broad categories are recognized: major depression, an intense depression lasting a minimum of two weeks and at risk of recurrence over a lifetime; dysthymia, lower grade depression lasting over a much longer period of time; and bipolar disorder, which consists of alternating periods of depression and manic feelings.

Depression involves a fundamental lack of self-worth that, at its worst, amounts to self-hate or such profound hopelessness that self-harm and suicide can appear as rational solutions to an individuals problems. While no single accepted theory explains depression, it is generally believed to involve a series of factors: suppressed anger turned inward toward the self, negative cognitive behaviors (stinking thinking), genetic predispositions and abnormal brain chemistry.

Now, eight years after my crash, I understand that my depression did not unfold in a single week, as I first believed, but was rooted in childhood wounds. It began, in fact, with my conception about D-Day when my father, a naval officer, was on leave between convoys in the Atlantic. My mother carried me in fear and worry until the day of my birth, when she went into a very long labor. I was eventually extracted with forceps that bruised and bent my skull. Six weeks later, she abandoned me for a month and a half while she accompanied my father to the Pacific, where he would serve aboard a troop ship in the last months of the War. These and later traumas of infancy seemed life threatening at that age and I learned to protect myself by dissociatinggoing away mentallyand erecting emotional walls, skills that kept later life from hurting me no matter what happened.

As a child, my use of these defenses was not evident to me or others. My distrust of people looked like mere shyness. My fear of life seemed like the rigidity and staidness of an overly regulated ministers son. From marriage on, life seemed normal to me, with its usual share of happy times and disappointments. Occasional, mild depression broke through, but I did not recognize it for what it was, and only oncefor the purpose of saving my marriagedid I enter a brief period of counseling. But my underlying unhappiness grew over three decades of marriage, until I had lost interest in my wife, sex, and home life. Only my career sustained me, and I invested my whole heart in it.

Women readily experience and express their feelings and when depressed they are more aware of it and more often seek treatment. Because of this, it has been widely believed that women are more prone to depression, perhaps by a factor of as much as 4:1.

Men, by contrast, hide their depression in two ways: by covering it up with addictionssex, alcohol, drugs, work, risky behaviorand by erecting walls to hold in their feelings behind a rigid countenance. This has led some observers such as Terrence Real (I Dont Want to Talk About It) to argue that male depression is greatly underestimated and that the true rate may be equal to or higher than the rate of depression in women.

There are good reasons for men to keep their depression hidden. Men are socialized from boyhood to be tough and hold in their feelings (real men dont cry). In adulthood, they hold important positions as breadwinners, family heads, and civic leaders, positions that dont allow any sign of weakness. Thus, the social pressure for men to keep their depression under wraps is powerful.

Like most men, my depression was hidden. But unlike many other men, I didnt turn to the more damaging and overtly addictive behaviorssex, alcohol, drugsto cover up my hurts. My addiction was socially acceptableworkaholism. Work and the emotional walls I created protected me and held in the pain and explosive anger about what felt like a wasted life.

Finally, my job turned sour, dealing a blow to my ego attachment to it. My job helped me feel important because of the feelings of power and accomplishment it gave me. With those stripped away, my protective cover was gone and nothing was left to protect me. At that point, it took only the flimsiest rebuff from my wife for things to fall apart.

At the time of my crash, I thought I was normal, but in truth the damage from five decades of living without authenticity was deeper than I knew. In addition to major depression, I faced serious dissociative disorders, commonly experienced as going away or fogging out. Child abusecertainly verbal and possibly sexual as welland continued verbal abuse in 30 years of marriage brought on Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). PTSD left me vulnerable to replaying old traumas triggered by seemingly unimportant events and viscerally afraid of being close to women. I also developed a schizoid personality split that made me both narcissistically self-absorbed and self-hateful at the same time. Had I sought treatment for depression earlier, I might have avoided these more serious mental problems.

A variety of therapies are available to heal depression, including individual counseling, psychodrama, body work and an increasingly effective array of medications. Since my implosion eight years ago, Ive been in twice-weekly therapy and taking medications. My therapy has included individual sessions and a psychodrama class, plus special PTSD therapy from the Therapy Spiral Institute. This therapyplus extensive reading of psychology, self-help and spiritual literaturehas led to many insights, emotional growth and a gradual unfolding of my ability to manage my condition. Now largely depression-free, I am able to focus my work on other areas of personality growth and healing.

My recommendations to other men are these: If you have an addictionto alcohol, drugs, sex, work, or something elseit is probably covering up depression. If you are feeling dead, with walls tightly holding down your feelings and protecting you from hurt, this too is probably hiding depression. Seek an evaluation now from a qualified mental health professional (psychiatrist, psychologist, or social worker) to detect your depression and avoid even more serious mental problems that may develop if it is neglected.

Ultimately, the goal of therapy is to augment the connection between our hearts and heads, a connection that is all too commonly disrupted in men. Furthermore, the journey of recovery can lead to a higher level of consciousness in which holism replaces individual self-absorption, as well as a richer spiritual life, however you choose to define that.

The Mankind Project has been a big help to me in coming to grips with my true feelings, giving me a purpose based on giving, reconnecting my body and mind and establishing genuine human relationships, especially with men, whom I once feared and resisted. As it has for me, MKP can help other men with depression begin to live authentically and face up to the truth of their lives from which they have been hiding.

Lovastatin Side Effects - What are the health risks involved with prescription Lovastatin

Lovastatin Side Effects - What are the health risks involved with prescription Lovastatin

Much of what we hear about popular statin medications such as lovastatin has little to do with the side effects. Nevertheless, the story of lovastatin side effects is a story that needs to be told.
Lovastatin is marketed under the name Mevacor, and is one of a number of statin medications that includes well recognized brand names such as Crestor and Lipitor. Mevacor when taken daily can lower LDL (bad cholesterol) by as much as 42 percent, with Crestor and Lipitor claiming to better that number by a full 20 percent. While remarkably effective at lowering bad cholesterol they have little if any positive impact on HDL (good cholesterol levels).

The mechanism that allows these drugs to lower bad cholesterol so drastically has to do with interfering with the liver enzyme HMG-CoA reductase. By blocking this enzyme the liver is no longer about to produce cholesterol. While in theory this seems like a very safe and effective way to reduce blood cholesterol levels there seems to be a fly in the ointment that was exposed way back in the summer of 2001. Until that time it was clear that statin medications produced a long list of nuisance side effects such as fatigue, headache, nausea, gas, diarrhea, muscle pain, and occasional memory loss but none that doctors felt were serious enough to offset the benefits of lovastatin. On this date research came to light linking the statin medication Baycol to a serious muscle and kidney condition known as rhabdomyolysis.

Ultimately 31 deaths were attributed to Baycol with the number of cases of rhabdomyolysis running into the thousand. To date there have been over 3000 lawsuits settled related to Baycol related injuries.

While lovastatin side effects may not rival those of Baycol these drugs do work in a similar fashion, as do all statin medications.

Lets look at what the official Lovastatin web site has to say about Lovastatin side effects:

Lovastatin occasionally causes myopathy (muscle disease) manifests as muscle pain, tenderness or weaknessmyopathy sometimes takes the form of rhabdomyolysis (muscle breakdown) with or without acute renal (kidney) failure.

The drug should be used with caution in patients who consume substantial quantities of alcohol and/or have a past history of liver disease.

Are there a natural alternatives to Lovastatin? Lovastatin side effects have become a major concern in recent years leading many natural health minded people to search for safe and effective alternatives. This search has lead them to a handful of natural cholesterol reduction supplements which have shown to be very effective in both lowering bad cholesterol (LDL) and raising good cholesterol (HDL). They also seem to do something that statin medications dont, and that is to lower dangerous blood fats known as triglycerides.

Episode seven begins with Katie and Peter having just arrived back from Las Vegas and Katie has presents for Harvey - some small cubes of flashing light, which he is delighted with. Katie and Peter then head off to a studio to record an interview for Capital Radio with Johnny Vaughan. Its an interesting interview where Katie addresses some of the rumors of their trip to LA, and Johnny does a good job of flirting with Kate and winding Pete up.

The next part kicks off with Petes birthday. All his family is visiting from Australia and hes planning to take everyone to the nearby Catalina Island. On the ferry Pete decides to see what life is like on the other side of the camera and whilst he is filming gets involved in a bit of role platy where he pretends to be a producer for a UK show about a couple called Katie and Peter, but apparently the show is all about Katie. They arrive at the island, and Pete enjoys playing on the beach with the kids, Kate on the other hand isnt as keen as she doesnt want to get her Ugg boots dirty. Pete is determined to make a day of it and gives Junior a master class in the art of fishing. Junior is quickly bored, but is impressed when Petes brother manages to pull a fish out of the sea.

The next day and Katie and Peter have been training for the marathon. But theyve parked their car in a no parking area and its been towed whilst they were running. They head down to the car pound to pick it up, but once theyve paid the fine, Pete realizes hes left the car key back at the mansion on the other side of LA. Katie lays into Pete on the journey home, but Pete gives as good as he gets.

Part three begins with all the family enjoying a day at home in the LA sunshine. Pete tries, and fails, to give Junior a quick science lesson. The management turns up as Pete has scheduled a conference call with an independent record label in New York. The call goes well and they sound like the kind of people Pete wants to work with. Manager Neville reminds Pete that his reputation counts for nothing, its all about the product he delivers. Later that day and Kate and Pete are looking through some of the UK gossip magazines and Kate is angry about a story that has been printed about her.

Part four is all about an interview with Perez Hilton, one of LAs top celebrity bloggers. He introduces Katie to a douche something she has never heard of before and is intrigued to find out. He also shows them Twitter a social networking website and he signs them both up to it. Katie and Peter are competitive as always and compete about how many followers they attract.

Jens Ekornes - From steel springs to modern furniture

Jens Ekornes - From steel springs to modern furniture

Every piece of furniture has a unique story. You may have a sofa, recliner, chair maybe even a table with some sort of history behind it from the manufacturer or individual who made it. Often when we shop for furniture we don't usually look past what is on the outside of the piece of furniture to see what was behind every spring, piece of fabric or bolt that went into it. When shopping for furniture each one has it's own reasons for offering the products that they do. Some companies start out doing what they see someone else do because they want that product's same success. Some companies start out from a need to help people find the product they are looking for. While still others wanted to take a product a make it even better.
Jens Ekornes was someone who always wanted to make it better and help others find a comfort that they couldn't in existing furniture. In 1936 he started out in a small shop in Norway building springs for sofas and mattresses. Often in manufacturing you have smaller companies that supply parts to the larger ones and this is what Jens Ekornes' company did. He had himself, three employees and some German equipment. This in essence was the beginnings of the company that would simply be called Ekornes.

After a few years Jens Ekornes wasn't content with just building springs for manufacturers and wanted to develop a unique line of mattresses. He went to a furniture show where he saw something unique in a British made sofa. They were building cushions using steel springs that were connected together rather than being attached separately to a piece of wood framing like so many others were doing. He thought this was something that could be implemented into mattress construction and began work designing a new mattress system that incorporated connected springs.

He successfully developed his mattress system and it came to be called Svane. In 1946 he visited America to study mattress manufacturing and brought back machinery and people to help train his workers on how to use it. Several unique styles of mattress were designed and with the new construction being used in his mattresses they were soon offering more support and comfort than other mattresses on the market.

Svane was such a success that it quickly became a household name through much of Scandinavia. Stocked in retail stores and sold throughout Europe it was soon being distributed through 1200 different companies and distributors. As successful as Svane was for Jens Ekornes he continued to build furniture components for other companies much like when he started out making steel springs for other manufacturers. Much of his furniture components that he built involved foam plastics and wood components. However he soon felt the need to develop another line of products separate from mattresses and decided to create new lines of home furnishings.

Jens Ekornes in the late 60's introduced a line of club furniture that consisted of sofas, loveseats, chairs and matching tables. These consisted of wood trim, bases and legs. The cushions made use of the advances developed by Svane for its mattresses in the way of foam plastics. The line was successful and helped make Ekornes Norway's leading furniture manufacturer going into the 70's which is when his greatest furniture accomplishments would be achieved.

In 1970 Jens Ekornes registered a patent for a line of reclining furniture that would put Ekornes on the map globally. The name he registered was Stressless. The Stressless recliners would revolutionize an industry with new ideas and concepts in recliner design. The first models of Stressless recliners introduced in 1971 consisted of round chrome bases and featured leather on the chair and ottoman. Ekornes would continue to develop these recliners with new patented features never before offered in a recliner. A glide system was created to respond to the movements of the person moving in the recliner allowing for greater comfort. The Plus System is a unique feature to only Stressless recliners. It automatically provides the correct lumbar support and allows parallel movement with the headrest which adjusts to you as the chair reclines to enjoy perfect support. Jens Ekornes' Stressless products became widely popular throughout Europe and soon were being sold outside of Europe as well. Today these products are sold in over 30 countries and more than four million recliners have been sold world wide since 1971.

The furniture you own today may have a unique and interesting story behind it especially if it is an Ekornes, Svane or Stressless brand piece of furniture. Jens Ekornes is responsible for many of the advances in the brands of products I've listed here in this article and when you own one of these products you are getting a piece of furniture with a rich Norwegian story and history behind it from a man who went out wanting to make a better product that would help change people's lives and did.

Importance Of Newspaper Reading Habits Among Children

Importance Of Newspaper Reading Habits Among Children

Image source: http://image.slidesharecdn.com/hemant-111012142112-phpapp02/95/internet-the-death-of-newspapers-12-728.jpg?cb=1318429814

To read is to fly: it is to soar to a point of vantage which gives a view over wide terrains of history, human variety, ideas, shared experience and the fruits of many inquiries. Reading is a particular exercise that not only gives an insight to the world around, but gives us an inner relief. When we read a particular fiction or book, we start identifying ourselves with the characters of the book, and our life with the story line. By reading books, newspapers, journals, magazines, we actually get a reflection of the society. In this 21st century, it has become very much important to be updated. Newspaper is a great way of keeping ourselves updated. It generally contains hard news, soft news, articles, and editors note. Though many ways have been developed over the recent past to keep ourselves informed, but these couldnt minimize the importance of newspapers. Newspapers are considered to be the best morning tea mate. But the habit of reading this must be cultivated in a very early age.

In the initial stage children may feel bore to read newspapers. So it depends upon the parents to generate the interest among children and involve them in reading the paper. Parents can in the initial stage, read out some news to the children and discuss about its impact with them. This sort of exercise makes children involved in the activity and when parents ask about their opinion, they start taking interest as well. Moreover, papers also contain comic strips. Children take more interest in reading those comics. So they can be regularly introduced with those topics which in long run infuse their interest to the reading habits. As newspapers contain news related to politics, this generates a childs interest towards political issues of the country, how the government works, what are the latest plans that government has implemented and so on. This helps children become a responsible global citizen. Reading newspapers also benefits the kids as it improves their vocabulary.

Reading a paper requires patience. Children reading the paper often noticed to have more patience than children who dont have this habit of reading. The importance of paper reading has well recognized by the modern day schools. Present day schools have sophisticated school library where different national and local newspapers are available to the children. There are special classes allotted for the newspaper reading. As papers contain news and stories related to multiple issues, kids get a detailed insight about the world around by reading it.

Parents can make a routine for every day newspaper learning so that children can be reap the benefit from that. News papers also contain kids columns so that children also find interest in that. In those columns lives of great men, short stories, poems and kids made art works take are published. This sort of interaction with the children influences them to aspire for their dream and chase those in life. News paper reading has a host of benefits. It ultimately depends upon the parents and teachers to cultivate this habit among children because it helps creating responsible world citizens.

Ignorance Is NOT Bliss, It's The Main Prerequisite For Your Enslavement

Ignorance Is NOT

Those who choose ignorance, in actuality, willingly choose unawareness. What you are unaware of is outside of your power of influence. Ignorance, therefore is bliss, BUT only for those who keep you ignorant (=unaware), not for you.

Below is a widely accepted and applied across the entire planet process of making people ignorant, i.e., unaware of their own entrapment or psychological enslavement which makes any other enslavement possible. Without further ado here is how it is done.

Our coming and following it presence in society can be likened to what happens during a movie production.

Lets quickly recap what happens as a movie is being made. A real person agrees to be an actor (=a fake character that doesnt exist outside the film story). He is then repeatedly told what to do, what to say, who to be, where to go and so on. The scripts have already been designed for him, and by someone else. The actor can not have a say that is outside the content of the given script, and as the film is being produced, the actor learns the scripts, repeats them multiple times, he does his best to make the fake character appear real, and the fake story be seen as a piece of reality (with a certain highlighted theme). But we all know that the story he animates is fake. It has never happened, it however appears as if it did.

When we enter this world, we are immediately given a set of scripts (beliefs, points of view, perceptual boundaries, goals, opinions, behavioural models and thinking patterns) that we must accept and within which we are expected to function. We are also given or labeled with a character- by our family members, significant others, classmates, neighbours, teachers, and authorities (once you identify with this label, you are it). And then, finally, we are given the officially allowed collective and individual version of reality to animate, support, and make real (-individual and collective "life scenario") that basically defines for each of us what we are allowed and expected to see as possible and what we must agree to accept as impossible for us - personally and collectively.

And all that fabricated stuff has nothing to do with who we are as an Essence and as a Being outside the given and accepted label (=prescribed social role).

The only difference between you entering the "social movie" as a character, and the person who enters a movie production area as an actor, is that you never give yourself a chance to leave the fake scenario and all assigned to your character (label) roles and sub-stories that you are animating. You never give yourself a chance to get back to your true self and your true life to a story free unpredictability children are still familiar with.

In fact, when kids play a game and animate its characters and its scenario, they always remain aware that they are in the game, a part of the game, but really are not the game, in fact, they are outside of the game. Kids are always aware that they can step out of the game, change the course of the game and finish the game whenever they please. Children are never prisoners of their games. Adults are. When they stand in a queue in a bank, choose their occupation, follow the common, suggested by society, family, race, religion, you name it, paradigms and scenarios, adults are prisoners of those games. People are not just bored, in pain, miserable or victims in their life or somebody elses life, it is really worse than that. They are invisibly controlled by the expectations of the grand social game, the producers of which are now dictating individual movie scripts inside everybodys head making sure that everybody believes that it is they, not the game talking into their ear!

Just recognise the trick. And step out of the movie scripts, out of the assigned fake character that everybody (including you) now believes is you, and then step out of the entire movie. Why? Thatll be extremely liberating and eye opening. And also heart opening, as you will feel much more alive right away.

Before the social game started, you had a pure, alive awareness of the possibilities. And that felt great, because it was the truth.

We are here or anywhere in Creation not to play anybodys games (no matter how big or small these games are), but to be aware of the infinite possibilities of Creation. And once you are aware of them, you can create something worthy through the abundance of these possibilities. And thats the initial, joyful and organic attitude to reality we all have when we arrive here. We are open and enthusiastic to discover what are the existing possibilities of this reality that we can engage with while applying our unique talents, preferences, and visions. Then most of us get downloaded into a society and caught into its multiple games. The original authenticity gets replaced with multiple pretenses making everybody less than alive.

It starts with a kindergarten and a primary school that give you practical ideas on how to limit yourself in many ways. By the end of your high school you already got a good training on how to stay limited no matter what. Corporations take this training on a whole new level, and by that time you are caught by the game completely. Step out of it. End all these games before they ended you. If you are not playing the game, the game wont be able to play you. Period. It is that simple. If in doubt, consult a kid.

The current social structure wants you to, and makes you exist and function exclusively within and from its manufactured games (stories). Then you are predictable and manipulatable. It may be your cultural set of stories, your national story, your family story, your personal drama story, your religion story, your country story, and wherever you go, you will go with your story. And what literally shocks everybody the most is wherever you go you will meet your story! As long as you function within and from it. It usually takes a process of repetitive identification with the story to make this phenomenon happen. If that is your case, un-identify and enjoy the freedom of being real.

Others, who may still be perceiving and interpreting everything they see through and from their personal and collective story they agreed to animate, may request that you give them a label of yourself that already exists within the context of their personal and collective story. Enjoy the show if you are interested.

While the entire organic Creation is naturally governed by life affirming and life expanding principles, any synthetic game is run by limiting and rigid rules that are always enforced, and that limit and disallow any kind of expansion, growth and evolution of the players.

An example of the rules of e.g. "educational institutions game" would be: listen, memorize, repeat; the more accurately you repeat, the better looking label you will get; such label will mean that you are important; you are now and only now allowed to feel important! Subscribe to this rule right now and once you have acquired such label and felt important, accept that you are still not enough, and go chase another label like this; when you get it, you will be allowed to feel important again. Repeat the whole process and collect as many labels as you can; you are not allowed to feel important without these labels; you must subscribe to this rule too; by subscribing to these rules you make it possible for the game to be continuously played and aggressively marketed to a great number of prospective participants.

And here is an interesting and popular, usually unrecognised, yet truly worthy of noticing conflict many have faced. When your school, community, class teacher or one of your parents were accusing you of not catching up with the labels and expectations of one of those games you were playing with them, they were really not catching up with your uniqueness, creativity, talents, fun-loving and easy going nature, and with your ability to effortlessly see the core of all things without learning much about them. In which case, whose problem was that really?

The truth that was meanwhile kept hidden from you is the following. Your or anybody else's uniqueness and thinking big, fast, smart or creative is a deadly threat to the limited game. So, whenever you pose that "threat", the game will issue you a discouraging label through its supporting members ("The Discouraging Committee"). And while the game is threatened to loose your life support, it will trick you into believing that it is you who should feel threatened, and if you respond to the carrot and stick device at all (via any of its personalised models), the game will strive to get you back into itself as soon as possible.

The social game based on illusion in its entirety is set up in such a way that each player will strive to meet the expectations of the game within the limitation of his/her own character, and under no conditions, whatsoever, you are allowed or expected to strive to discover the immense (if not unlimited) creative power of you. The game will keep you unaware of this power as long and as much as possible, blocking and restricting your every move towards this liberating awareness. That way youll keep the game running while allowing the game to convince you that its the only and your only reality.

You movie mates, who are on a game mission to stay unaware and limited, and to keep everybody else just as limited, no matter what, will tell you the popular This is the way life has always been. Right, so far, and as long as I am subscribed to this specific way of continuously re-imagining life as being this way only. How about I refuse to recycle this way of life to be in my personal reality? The truth is, there are multiple if not unlimited ways available for life to be, and it is REALLY up to me to decide which way my life and reality will unfold from now on.

Just give yourself a liberty to stop being a repeater. Why? It sucks. Recognise the pattern, step out of it, and for the love of life, let your innate nature and essence to re-emerge, because by the Sources design you are a creator. You may have been conditioned to be a repeater, but it is up to you to stop it through the act of recognition. Instead of recycling your own or your family members history, you can as well choose to live your mystery, which can not be recycled, repeated, or hijacked. This is a true freedom of Being. Powered and supported by the Divine. This is also the way out of any prison of perception you may be in.

How To Create Compelling Stories

How To Create Compelling Stories

The best content tells a story. It's easy to relate to a story and that's why every-
one loves them. Creating stories is also a good way to cut through all of the dull content on the web with something a bit more interesting.
The Elements of a Story
There are certain elements that any good story must have in place:
Setting When and where the action takes place.
Character This could be you, a customer, or someone with a problem that's
similar to those of your customers.
Conflict Every good story has a conflict. This is the difficulty the characters are trying to overcome, the thing they must do, or their journey. When the conflict is introduced, this adds forward motion to the story. The reader wants to know what will happen and how it will be resolved.
Resolution This is the happy ending where the conflict is resolved and everyone lives happily ever after. In storytelling content, the resolution says to
the reader, "This can work for you too."
Content presented as a story usually ends with a call to action. This might be one or a series of action steps that you recommend the reader take to handle the present problem. At the end of the story are takeaways that summarize it and show the reader what to do.

Brand Storytelling on thepcmate

You can use storytelling in any kind of content, whether it's a blog post, a
video, or even a single image. But you also need to create a brand story for your content brand.
The brand story has the same elements:
Setting - When and where you started, the environment in which you started,
how and why your brand came into existence.
Characters Those behind the brand and the supporters who helped it grow.
Conflict The problem or problems your brand set out to solve and the difficulties, challenges, or setbacks you faced along the way.
Resolution How your brand overcame the problem to reach where it is now.
Guidelines for Creating Good Stories
When telling stories, use your natural voice. Let your personality come through in the story. People love reading stories in part because of their personal nature. A good story will help your readers resonate with you.
Another thing that will help your story resonate is to create likable characters.
When a reader likes a character or feels an affinity with them, they root for them throughout the story and have a much more emotional experience read-
ing it.
A great element for any story is failure. We love stories about someone who failed or gave up, only to persevere and succeed at the end. Don't be afraid to admit your failures and show a bit of vulnerability.
Don't stick only to text stories. Experiment with storytelling in as many different media as possible.

To-Do's:

Think of a difficulty you overcame that could help your customers and outline the story behind it.
Write your brand story using the elements above of setting, characters, conflict, and resolution.
Select the media you would like to use to communicate your story, such as text, images, video, audio, or even an interactive webinar. It can also be any combination of different media.
Now, produce your story in the media you selected.

Church Of Profitis Elias In Protaras Cyprus

Church Of Profitis Elias In Protaras Cyprus

The church of Profitis Elias is well worth a look especially if you need to burn off a few of those excess holiday pounds you may be piling on after visiting those great restaurants and bars that Protaras is famous for. Due to the fact that its perched on a rock 115 meters above the resort you will be climbing about the same number of steps (115) to get to it. Once at the top however and provided that you survive the climb the views are magnificent. In fact you can see that all the small private clinics catering for heart attack victims are actually quite close by.
Seriously though, the panoramic views are stunning and on clear days you can see right across to Famagusta. The church of Profitis Elias is named after the Prophet Elijah who featured in the old testament of the bible. Roundabout the 9th century BC he was sent by God to the sinful King of Israel called Ahab and his wicked wife Jezebel (now you know where that comes from) to show them the error of their ways because they were amongst other things worshiping some false God called Baal. Unfortunately Elijah was not too warmly received and the wicked King even threatened to kill him.

So he hides out up the mountains in a cave and God sends a crow every day with food in its beak. There is also a nearby stream for water but due to a drought that Elijah prophesied about that eventually dries out. Driven out by hunger and thirst the prophet is offered shelter by poor widow living alone with her only son. Elijah performs a miracle with the tiny amount of food in the house and even raises her son back to life after he dies due to illness. The drought last for three years and many of the Israelites die of starvation due to the bareness of the land.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, after a period on the run Elijah returns and eventually puts this false God to the test by challenging the priest to pray for fire from above for the burning of a sacrifice. Of course it doesnt happen, however God does send fire to consume Elijahs offering even though its soaked with water and the Israelites turn back to God. Later in his life God decides to draw Elijah closer to himself without putting him through the pain of death and takes him up in a chariot of fire. (great film).

So there you go then, Profitis Elias is not just some church on a rock with amazing views its also a tribute to the prophet Elijah and theres more too. Most Cypriots are named after a saint like Michael, Peter ect and even, yes you guessed it Elias. With derivatives like elianna for girls. Every year there is a naming day when the icon is carried outside the church so that people may pass under it to receive a blessing from the saint. Its a time of celebration and there is a traditional market in the streets below. All in all then its well worth a trip up to take a look at the church of Profitis Elias in Protaras Cyprus.

BOLLYWOOD SONGS An effective narrative device.

BOLLYWOOD SONGS An effective narrative device.

In Hollywood movies, Musicals are one genre that is exclusively based on songs and lyrics. With few exceptions songs are not a common narrative expression for other Genres. Though it has been observed that its musical score increases a movies popularity. Celine Dion's "My heart will go on" for Titanic stayed on in public memory long after the movie left the cinema halls. The soundtrack of Love Story is one of the most enduring ever, and who doesn't download music from Sound of Music and Mary Poppins. Many a times, blockbusters become classics because of their excellent scores. Hence, composers and songwriters are in great demand in Hollywood and thus the producers are encouraged to use songs occasionally in Hollywood films.
The origin of songs in Bollywood movies can be attributed to the Parsi Theatre - the popular musical plays in the early 19th Century that influenced themes and styles of the early film productions. From thereon even though the film style and content diversified, the popularity of songs remained. In the contemporary Bollywood cinema, the craft of song imaging improved with technology and its relevance and contribution enhanced the art of populous Indian storytelling techniques. The mere means of entertainment emerged as a potent narrative device.
Most of the Bollywood films are essentially consumed by audiences of Indian origin across the globe thus they are dually influenced by the Indian ethos and the western lifestyle. Former assisting the mass acceptance and the latter satisfying the mass fantasy. These movies primarily express the importance Indians as a race give to human emotions and relationships. Bollywood songs contribute effectively to this expression. They movies range from emotional sagas to patriotic legends, romantic comedies to heart stopping thrillers. Irrespective of the genre, songs find an important role to play in the narrative structure of the story. There is something for all kinds of audiences. There is entertainment packed for everyone in one movie.
In the Indian popular culture there are songs for every occasion happy or sad. People sing songs to celebrate, to mourn or to rejuvenate, whatever may be the reason it is a popular expression of human emotions and way of life. Since the Bollywood movies are so deeply rooted in the culture and traditions of its societies, songs too become a potent device of expression in any dramatic situation of a film story. They have remained and shall remain one of the most popular genres of music in the Indian peninsula.

Bollywood films continue to be renowned for the excessive song and dance sequences that also play a pivotal role in making Indian cinema both unique and popular across the globe. Songs are used in Indian movies mainly to entertain but they also prove to be an effective device in rendering otherwise mundane but essential information without compromising the emotional quotient of the story. An appropriate love song enhances a romantic setting. Similarly songs have been used to make audiences laugh and cry with the characters. In fact the story itself can be narrated through cleverly inserted songs. Moreover, song montages replace elaborate scenes enhancing emotions and providing more significance to the narrative expression by eliminating conversations. Thus the overall dramatic impact of the story is heightened.

Bipolar II Disorder and Teenagers Part Three -- Diagnosis

Bipolar II Disorder

In the third article of a four-part series, we'll continue to follow Wendy's story and discuss the difficulty of diagnosing bipolar II disorder.

Dr. Smith had been treating Wendy for depression since she was 14, but it wasn't until she was 17 and displaying hypomania symptoms that he considered assessing her for bipolar II. In order to meet the criteria for this condition, a history of depression and at least one episode of hypomania are necessary. Bipolar II often goes undetected because of problems with a clear definition and a lack of understanding of hypomania. Bipolar II is often misdiagnosed because of the overlap with other conditions such as anxiety, depression, oppositional disorder and ADHD.

While most of Wendy's friends were bothered by her constant talking and boastful attitude, they admired her confidence, endless energy, and various talents. These characteristics can make bipolar II even more challenging to diagnose because the hypomania may appear to be a period of successful high productivity and happiness. Because hypomania can cause a person to feel good, it is reported less frequently than a painful depression.

Dr. Smith believed Wendy was experiencing hypomania based on her grandiosity about winning the state championships, her need for little sleep and her rapid talking. Upon questioning from the doctor, Wendy shared that she had been experiencing an increase in her sex drive but figured it was normal for her age. This cluster of symptoms confirmed a bipolar II diagnosis and the need for an adjustment in her medication. Dr. Smith explained bipolar II to Wendy, but she denied that she had it, explaining that she was just buzzed about the upcoming championships.

People with bipolar II typically don't have the severe mood swings of bipolar I patients, but they may be prone to longer depressive episodes. Teenagers with bipolar disorder may often start out with the depressive side of bipolar, and helping professionals may believe that the patient has unipolar depression. If a person has a history of substance abuse, eating disorders, schizophrenia and/or major mood disorders, it's important to realize that these are red flags for bipolar; however, not all people with this background get this disorder.

Of course, there are a percentage of cases where hypomania causes significant distress, and it's important to detect hypomania early on. Some research indicates that teens are more prone to auto accidents and may suffer a decline in grades because of the distractibility caused by racing thoughts. There are many faces of hypomania that can help you differentiate the disorder; however, remember that any one person has a cluster of symptoms and not all of them.

Wendy didn't like the term "hypomania" for the wonderful feelings she was experiencing, and she didn't want to take any additional medication. Dr. Smith was concerned when Wendy refused to take the recommended medication because ignoring hypomania can make bipolar II worse and possibly lead to the more severe bipolar I. People with bipolar I can lose touch with reality and become a danger to themselves or to others, so it is crucial to stop the progression of low-end bipolar conditions.

Fortunately, with education, Dr. Smith was able to convince Wendy to take a mood stabilizer to regulate her mood and keep treating her depression. He also referred Wendy to me because I have a specialty with bipolar II in teenagers. I taught Wendy a variety of coping skills that will be discussed in the next article in this series: "Bipolar II Disorder and Teenagers: Part Four -- Positive Coping Skills."

BIBLICAL MYSTERIES - HISTORY AND LEGEND.

BIBLICAL MYSTERIES - HISTORY AND LEGEND.

Are these echoes of events that once shaped our minds ?

Few other tales of narrative prehistory have captured the imagination of so many in different religious Stories. Few have ventured to go beyond the graphic miracles of Yaweh and his pillars of fire not to mention the present avid interest in the parting of the waves. Altogether, fine tales and about which most people are not aware of the amount of research that has been spent on them through the millennia. But why so much confusion about the potentially historical essence of these tales ? Why is it now that film and television teams spend their valuable footage on presenting them from so many different angles. ? Fact, it would seem, is stranger than fiction and the missing, crucial, jigsaw puzzles, promise to unveil a reality that pushes all these biblical affairs into stark contrast with their real meanings. The winds of change blow hard on the shores of the Mediterranean and their tales of mystery and imagination. Volcanoes, seismic catastrophes and even plagues hound the ardent seekers of truth looking for those telltale clues on their effects on humanity and even lost civilisations . What are the experts saying about the legendary associations measured against archeological fact ?

Diehard professionals on narrow tracks and even clumsy amateurs full of wonder and often nonsense, seek their audiences and their monies - concerned on cashing in with whatever padding they can write into it, to keep interest alive. Like food, a vast percentage of modern books and films on these subjects should carry a warning label of potential rubbish content.

The discoveries, unfortunately named - and so called final answers to ancient mysteries fill the screens and make interesting viewing or reading for those who lack the ability to tell the real from the sham or fact from probable fiction. The producers do not care if it is what they know they would like viewers to believe, but these people behind the claims are not that concerned about things like truth or genuine research which they borrow mainly from others like themselves in the money game. During the Da Vinci Code scam, in Latin countries with very low reading indices, thousands of new authors, hitherto unpublished, even appeared before literary tv programmes with their borrowed celebrity status, admitting casually that the market was in copying from here and there to get the right cocktail mix ! Some, under the mantle of academic status even went to the extent of publishing a blockbuster every month which were no more than translated bad copies of original studies by others which had taken years to compile. Some were eventually found out and publicly denounced but the monies stayed put in the Swiss Bank accounts. In these countries, intellectual property laws had gathered dust through lack of proper application and every quick take, was considered fair game.

Genetic studies confound the scholars.

The present trend of events following the enormous thrust into genetic studies which now include the human Genoma opens doors previously unsuspected. Mans prehistoric footprint might well have been swept aside by climactic conditions, but his presence has remained trapped in the very genes which have been carried through to today. Genetic discoveries lead the way to much more precise results about historic identities and location than any other instrument ever available and it threatens to change every aspect of the favourite tales of our past, as the modern anthropologist and paleobiologist, Robert Sepehr, exposes with journalistic fluidity. The underlying, genetic patterns of human movements throughout the world are now shaking the hallowed teachings of our origins to the point where we can see who was where and how and when it began. Genetics - particularly what is called Mitochondrial DNA inherited via the female and singular blood groups can not only show the origins of the tribal movements, but whole civilizations whether or not its constituent members died without any other trace along the way. Suffice it to find an endless string of genes of past derivation no longer present in modern humans beyond a scarce few, to know that there were once there and how and when they disappeared in such enormous multi-million exterminations of suspected cataclysmic conjecture. When the graphic origins of these individual reductions of such massive consequence are eventually pinned down, our few picture book tales of death and destruction will seem childish by comparison. Pioneer researchers pave the path.

Professor Godfrey Higgins - (Anacalypsis 19th.c ) whose studies on the origins of words, were hailed as the most dramatic evidence of our hidden past, unveils in thousands of pages, word associations which require little historical studies to determine where our ancestors left their prints. Places names, in particular, betrayed not only the origins of people but their wandering habits and their encounters. Keen Arabic writers using the principle were able to produce tribal movements in ancient history left behind in the villages and valleys of their passage with much more relevant precision than the hitherto interpreted. Doctor Osman, in particular, who touched the best selling lists of the seventies with his biblical analogies to historical figures, was probably credited with bringing the whole contemporary establishment on his head. He died pretty much alone and bitterly disillusioned with contemporary religious thought. Whilst researching for the dramatic book The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail (a book that was plagiarized lamentably by the pot boiler Dan Brown to turn it into a mix and match novel) , I caught a whiff of the hidden trails of the secret societies which still form an influential part of our societies. The emotional impact of discovery upon discovery of coincidences, symbolism and interrelated facts, caught the Holy Blood team by surprise and although Michael Baigent was effectively the leader, efficient and to the point, his calls and meetings were geared to determine what could fill in from whoever, keeping back as he did so what any collaborator did not need to know. Richard Leigh however would ring in mid slumber early hours filled with the intensity of inspiration we so gladly shared. I wondered how much they knew and only at publication day did I know just how much they had to say. The essence of the major pronouncement of the Jesus hidden marriage, came as no surprise to me or to other executive members of an old established Order of Templars . I knew of the undercurrents of beliefs of the French family members directly descended from the knights and to their curious reference to the Virgin as Son Altesse which made little sense unless it referred to another member of the family. It was therefore a bone of contention which pointed the finger at Mary Magdalene, the uncrowned princess. I knew that it was not considered loyal to discuss delicate issues like these with outsiders and which could affect the so called return to the fold with the Churchs blessing, but as I found out later, It was certainly not going to come from their prejudiced Masonic origins which the trio basically wrote in favor of and believed in. Despite the grim disappointment at the expense of documented proof of legitimacy of our Order, on being challenged, they admitted that had they not given way to some of their anti Order claims, like the denial of the Larmenius Charter, they would have been incapable of filling up the pages of half the books. Such is life, but had they played fair, our archivist would have pointed to a much more fascinating wake shared with the Jesuits and the every loyal Cistercians. They could have even got closer to a list of those giant religious leaders of history who knew and left demonstrably solid evidence of their knowledge. However, as my own research progressed beyond return, my very faith was in jeopardy and I grew with it to a point where I seemed to stand in a new dimension and before the Cathars in their misunderstood forms of veneration and the real meaning of the Rennes le Chateau legacy which was so much the essence of the trios first book. The plea to commercial interests drove them right past more than one issue which would have left very few question marks and made sense of some of the paintings they glossed over. Much of the findings in any symbolic heritage require whole books to explain properly but much of the historical realities they betray or insinuate, do not affect either the Order or the Church itself if treated with honest attempts to elucidate and attributed to beliefs. When asked, I often have to admit that it was what the knights were taught and thought, but not necessarily what I would think and keep to myself.

The question of Jewish claims.

The question of Jewry and bewildering claims made on both land and history by this ethnic peoples, put the Templars into a direct line of attack against them and in particular for their tactical support of Islamic leaders in the middle ages and in much the same way that they once did for the Romans. Jewry it would seem, skillfully manipulated political circumstances as the one and only money lenders unwilling to accept the religious condemnations of its abusive aspects. They therefore saw in the Templars the threat to its powerful mechanisms and fiscal understanding which they readily proposed to the Emirs and Caliphs in exchange for social acceptance as happened in Granada. The Templars later to become engaged in controlled money lending and issue of instruments of exchange, discovered too late what it would lead them into. The Ashkenazis, considered to be the brain of modern Jewry, with their apparent high level of intelligence, no doubt found a secure platform within religious political claims, but who were these strange people really ? Were they really Jewish, other tribal members or outsiders seeking refuge ? It seems that 350 of them entered Europe to become many hundreds of thousands but who consequently appear to have inherited the serious mental deficiencies of strict inbreeding ? Who are and why do the redoubtable Gypsies with their archaic music and dance resemble that of so many ancient peoples ?

The Templars saw Jews as enemies of the Christian faith and killers of Jesus so vividly portrayed in the stark presentation of the Passion stories. Jesus himself would have never approved such contrived hatred and he admitted, it would seem that they did not realize what the consequences of their actions would be, but on retrospect he could have easily become the Judean Messiah also - and not just that of Israel which the Romans understood from their own racial origins. The Etruscans from which the Romans came from, were of a culture that could very possibly have descended from the Israeli tribe of Benjamin which incidentally shares very interesting folkloric resemblance in part to the story of the founding of Rome and the rape of the Sabines. Exactly what the destitute tribe was faced with and adviced to do at the end of the tribal wars. If the Roman priests were that well versed in the origins of the tribes, it could explain why the ceremonial references of the crucifixion by Pilate and Herod of the crimson robe, reed/sceptre and crown/ myrtle were designed to represent a Royal initiation which would shake the very roots of the Judaic Temple. There is doubt as to whether INRI was inscribed as such and which could mean rex Iudea or Israel. The fact that Jesus was a Jew is almost certainly not shared by most and his cultural references and choice of family territory was very far removed from that of the clustered quarters of Judean occupation. His language, Syrian Aramaic was common to all, but his teachings were in accepted Grecian format of a precise school. His own family tree, on his mothers side was not distinctly Jewish but Mazdean. As was that of his mothers cousin Elizabeth married to another and a non Jew if the name is anything to go by. What was haunting to authorities at the time, was the blind strength of the early Christian faithful which so impressed the Romans and eventually Constantine. The suicidal onslaughts of both Islamic and Templar fraternities on the battle field appear to have a common source. This reckless bravery however questionable in terms of life values, wore echoes of the ancient and much acclaimed, Spartans which both emulated and which the Basque people record being descendants of. In fact, it seems the term soldier comes from a very ancient Basque word, meaning soldering or soldurii which is the fusion of two men as a fighting one.

The relevance of the Holy Sites.

The sense of identity since the days of the crucifixion, by both Christians and Judeans, on those religiously imbued shores, put the holy sites in the nature of pawns and which problem grew with Islamic claim to them despite them not having formed part of it in those early days. The claim being based, on post Mohammedan occupation and the shared Issa link with Christians. Instead of uniting them both against Judaic claims, surprisingly, it drove them apart. The main fear however came from what was to become strict Orthodox Islamic beliefs based on Sunni heritage rather than the priestly cast of the Shiites dedicated to mystical subjection.

Despite the historical inaccuracies of many so called legitimate claims to the land of the Bible, the alliance of the Saracens and the destructive Turks was a prime cause for the formation of the Crusades not to mention the emergence of the Indian Kali cult of mass assassination of Christian pilgrims adopted by Islamic followers. It is therefore not surprising that the early Templars of Solomon not just lined up with the Shiite Muslims, to attack these common enemies, but shirked the Judean allusion as fast as they had acquired it to become the poor soliders of Christ. The Judean facet it represented had been instantly dismissed when seen in the light of the lack of association of the tribe of David with that of Sauls Israel. What was surprising however when tallying up the concurrent historical changes of the time, was that Islam was at its highest point in Cordoba and there was no need to introduce new challenges into Christian existing vulnerability in that respect. But how can one become friends on the one hand and enemies in another part of the globe ? Simply, that the realization that Cordoba had effectively stolen the thunder from the Bagdad Sunnies and claimed the global leadership that the story of this peculiar and much criticized incipient relations by the Templars with the leader of the Hashishim, begins to make sense. Cordoba without doubt would have been only too happy to keep the hand of friendship extended to this formidable growing Crusader force away from them and acknowledge the valuable work of Hassan in his castle of Alamut against their own Sunni enemy. It was for this reason that the Templars rode alongside the Ishmaelis against Baghdad. In a paper delivered by a French, military intelligence collaborator in Malaga Spain about the Othordox Islamic claims of their shores, a member of the audience pointed out that Cordoba was soft Islam in its days and that its heritage was exemplary and an enlightened, exemplary, tolerant one. It was shouted down on purely academic terms despite the fact that it had little to do with rabid Sunni attitudes towards outsiders of any faith and against which blind leadership, Cordoba had turned its back. A clearer example of prejudice and lack of reality by academic conception, is difficult to find. The Cordoba Caliphate, born of Sunni worship, was and could no longer be anything other than a more appealing and enlightened presentation of Islam geared to the genuine aspirations of the Prophet. The fact that the al Qurashi family had established not just their own feudal state, but a claim to the Caliphate leadership was lost in the rails of our French speaker who preferred to describe a copy, rather than a schismatic break with Baghdad which was the case. It is also not surprising that the Fatimid Shiites were soon to follow in their footsteps, the one being consistent with the other. The facts and balances of power behind the political and religious scenery of the beginning of the second millennium has to be taken into account to understand why Christianity had learnt to respect the developments and high standards of living in the Shiite (pre Fatimid) Caliphate of Cordoba against the perverse nature of a rampantly ignorant Christian Church full of fat, incoherent priests eternally debating mystical nonsense devoid of human content. A foul smelling, sack garbed Vatican delegate sent to the Caliphs court was unfortunately jailed for disdain under the circumstances, although he eventually managed to seek acceptance after the incarceration and scrub downs. It would not be till the acerbic Al Mansur, devoured by hatred and power lust, attacked and woke up the sleeping lion of their neighbouring disorganized neighbours. In fact, had it not been for this warlord, the Temple would have more than likely managed to create a synergic link between both cultures and today would not be as unlikely as it now happens to be with fllowers of issa at each others throats. In fact, both Islam and Christianity as acknowledged parts of both sides of the same coin sharing Jesus and the Day of Atonement among other things, believed in the submission of humility taught so clearly, by both Messianic leaders. Points of assumed unlikely difference are Sharia, Judaic claims like Isaac being the first born (which now appears not to be the case) and the crucifixion events which are now being seriously questioned. The Sunnis, despite the loving nature shared by all Prophets, lamentably appeared to inherit the doctrine of vengeance from the Jewish tooth for a tooth in the formulation of Sharia law. Even David in the bible narrations admitted to being the subject of Gods vengeance and the victim of the Ark apart from his son and heir Solomon being condemned for Unholy practices and desecration of the Temple. Who they really were and what the family meant in historical terms is as much a guess as his flying balloons in Indian scripts. Its connection with Israel however is practically non existent.

The instinctive nature of the Prophets compassion and heart.

Jesus, would have never tolerated such violation of human principles as described in the Torah and Sharia law (inserted long after the Prophet Mohameds death) and indeed the very existence of both Prophets who believed in the power of love, depended fervently on the other cheek principle rather than hate and vindictiveness - not to mention brutal massacres of helpless, betrayed women. It is this factor in effect that divides both these great religious teachings and that apart from animal sacrifice (which was the base of the legendary substitute for human sacrifice by Divine Intervention), it was Abraham himself who consulted and was admonished by the priests of Salem to move towards bread and wine in spiritual aspiration and pursuit of enlightenment. The Koran itself makes it clear in its sections on food, its preparation and its spiritual meaning, although the scribes make it clear that preventing the eating of meat, which was considered bad for spiritual development, could only be allowed under strict circumstances and total avoidance of pain and suffering to the unfortunate, God beloved animals. Christianity itself which should have formed a part of Shiite Islam in its mystical interpretations and practical contents, diverged against its own interests and pursued the Celtic, Egyptian roots which had already suffered changes under the all embracing power of the Phoenician monotheistic religion of The Lord which took it over. The historical amalgamation of both was none other than the Constantine so called admission into the popular state culture which suited both Romans and Orientals. The history of the Church beyond that point, whilst saving millions of lives and removing the daily threat of extinction, was the funnel which ended up in the Crusades and the most Satanic movement of all times - The Holy Inquisition. Hundreds of millions perished unnecessarily and human life was reduced to no more than who you knew and what you identified with in the name of Jesus ! The Church, it would appear had harboured revenge against the Templar liberation and freedom of knowledge, pursued so distinctly by the Jesuits. It would not be long (1773) before the very Jesuits themselves would be led to the doctrinal scaffold and accused of undercover Templar behavior and support.

St. Bernard, greatly attached to Arab culture, knew only one enemy - the Jews and their rejection of the Messianic leader of Israel. The protection of holy artefacts and sites, was therefore targeted against those who challenged them at the time. The Templars had a serious disadvantage in this respect which was theological overcome. As Christians, they could not kill except in self defense and even then, with a spiritual appeal to God to forgive them for saving life by taking another in mortal combat. It is the very essence of exoneration w3hich dwells in the legendary appeal Non nobis, non nobis, sed in tuo Nomine da Gloriam - Only in your name O Lord give Glory. In effect, their battle cry A Beauceant shares equal meaning in ancient Provencal French to that of the radicalized suicidal warriors we have lamentably seen in recent history. Misunderstood for centuries as meaning, the flag, it clearly depicts To the good Paradise - au Beau Ceugeant in celtic Provencal . It raises doubts as to whether or not they also took hallucinogenic drugs for the war effort but the implication is there. Whichever, the Islamic influence in their training and theological interpretations is evident. At no point in religious history, were both faiths so closely intertwined in pursuit of the Monotheistic faith which so suited humanity from the days of the Byzantine Empire.

Interfered texts and confusion.

Jewry, Christianity, Islam and their religious folklore seemed suitable bases for the principle of etymological studies of origins of contemporary doctrines, but on closer examination, telling the original from the manipulated texts is extremely difficult as prejudiced scribes altered the sense in any document that did not suit their purpose. The much quoted and important Josephus writings on Jewish wars, have been so interpolated for reasons to do with their mention, indirectly and among other issues, of Jesus, that even layers of interpolation reduce the possible original to pure speculation. More recent approaches utilized to filter different currents of thoughts have proved more successful and it became possible for people like John Romer to actually detect conclusively who wrote what in the old testament. However, despite these differences between Judean and Israeli thought, what has become obvious is that all the main Western religions derive from the same sources - a body of knowledge that preceded all of them Phoenican cultural beliefs. Moses could have very easily found himself in a glass box in the Cairo Museum as interpreted by Dr. Osman, the religious writer who looked for historical evidenc of biblical events. It was only the start of what could have very easily, once recognized, offended that very special sense of respect ardent followers of a movement develop. Variations of approach to historical similarities were rendered undesirable and produced unnecessary conflict instead of bringing parties together. After all, Moses was said to have been buried on a mountain top outside the forbidden Canaan and this was a Pharoah who shared his birthright and killed long before his conquest of the promised land, but then twisted narratives can only be made to make sense when the creases are taken out first and this has still to be done. Collusion between religious leaders to avoid this, is more than obvious and ultimately, the nightmare of the earnest researchers. The conflictive evidence including, discarded ancient texts became the province of the secret societies and State authorities and still remains there to this day. In Akhenatons case, despite published papyri of Amarna (which list most of the principles of good virtues and deadly sins so lost on Christians), it was the devil which had contrived the coincidence of teachings as far as the Catholic Church was concerned - and perhaps just as well that the Jews threw it out by instinct.

The biblical heritage and perennial questions.

The identity of Noah, Moses, Jesus, John the Baptist, Krishna, Buddha , Azahura Mazda, Zoroaster their families and heritage all had to come into the frontline of historical analysis to teach ourselves to benefit from the knowledge and thoughts they left behind. The emerging global research (which unfortunately always seemed to come in blockbuster best sellers - to everyones chagrin), created more confusion than they dissipated. However, imbedded in all the points of popular interest were kernels of disturbing truth which properly deciphered, represented a threat to mainstay superstitious religions demands concerned with safety in established views. Breakaway groups militated against this. The Nag Hammadi finds, the Qumran Community texts discoveries (including its own existence) and the discarded biblical texts considered unnecessary by the Constantine filters all kept future minds on a narrow version designed to avoid embarrassing questions which now find answers difficult to face. Whereas hidden texts, mainly in the open now, are showing facets of the reinterpretation of religious beliefs which many claim can cause disillusion among their members, the overall effect is a reduction of enmity between all of them as they learn to discuss implications and the reliance on common origins to produce a much more acceptable world free of the sordid carnage that has nothing to do with religious practice or states of communion with a God.

In the context of plain curiosity and necessity to fully understand our heritage, hundreds of precise questions continue to haunt humanity. Who was Noah ? Did it happen ? What were his religious beliefs ? Was Moses, the man of Amarna and was he not the singularly similar Akhenaten ? Why does the Queen of Sheba not fit in with the archeological evidence ? Was she really Hatshepsut the Great Queen in flight and was Hiram the biblical Architect she had buried close to her ? Who was David anyway and Solomon the builder of the Temple ? Were all these names hiding their real ones ? Were the people of the bible all plain scribal inventions ? Were there real Angels who looked like humans who intervened in biblical events, like the birth of Jesus and John the Baptist , Benjamin and even Ishmael to Haggai the servant ? Were these confused with each other for religious reasons ? Did Jesus survive for decades after the event and or did he die at Golgotha ? Has history destroyed evidence of issues and or crowned heads descended from his issue and where is his terrestrial body if there was no ascension ? Who could he have been in archeological terms ? Was Joan of Arc not who we imagine her to be and did she really die on the pyre ? Why is the body of Alexander and its last resting place still missing from our records ? Why did he already have an Egyptian religion if his father was Macedonian Greek ? Who was Columbus and why was he fixed as an innovator when hundreds of other Asian and Europeans had been there before him ? Who could have drawn a contour, accurate, iceless Antartic map in very ancient times ?

These are but a very selected few questions begging for answers and whilst the Academic world rests on those narrow rails or consider the terms unprofitable pursuits, only the brave amateur researchers, very good and very bad, can border close to their answers.
